In this application, on 26.06.2024, this Court had granted interim relief in favour of the applicant, subject to specific conditions, including a direction that he shall appear before the investigating officer on 29.06.2024 and thereafter, as and when called.

The learned APP, on instructions, submitted that the applicant did appear before the investigating officer and that he co-operated with the investigation.

In the interim order, this Court had taken note of the fact that the applicant was not named in the FIR and three unknown persons were said to have assaulted the victim.

For the reasons stated in the interim order and in the light of the fact that the applicant co-operated with the investigation as also for the reason that the chargesheet is now filed, this Court is inclined to allow the present application.

Accordingly, the interim order dated 26.06.2024 is confirmed and the application is allowed. The applicant shall co-operate with the concerned Court for expeditious disposal of the trial.
