Although this is an application seeking anticipatory bail, which by its very nature is an urgent proceeding, an adjournment is sought on behalf of the applicant on the ground of ill-health of the counsel appearing for the applicant.

The record shows that the FIR in the present case was registered as far back as on 18th January, 2023. The Sessions Court in its order rejecting the application for anticipatory bail has specifically recorded that the applicant has been absconding.

In view of the above, list for further hearing on 12th July, 2024, to be included in the "Supplementary List." It is made clear that no further adjournment will be granted.
