Learned Counsel for the applicant submits that the applicant, a senior citizen, received a brokerage of Rs.50,000/- directly from the complainant. To show his bonafides, the applicant is willing to deposit Rs.50,000/- in the Court. The only role attributed to the applicant is that he introduced the co-accused, who accepted the alleged amount. Furthermore, the learned APP, based on instructions from the investigating officer present in the Court, assures that the applicant will not be arrested in the present crime till next date, provided he should co-operate with the investigation.
