Having heard learned counsel for the applicant and the learned APP for the respondent-State, particularly in the light of the remand report brought to the notice of this Court, it would be appropriate that investigation papers are perused.

The remand report refers to statements of witnesses indicating the active role of the applicant in misappropriation of amounts received under the 14th Finance Commission, which was to be utilized for public good by the Gram Panchayat.

3.

The investigating officer shall remain present with the investigation papers before this Court on 29.11.2024.

This application shall be included in the supplementary list on 29.11.2024.
