This is an application seeking to quash the First Information Report bearing Crime No.1516 of 2022 registered with the Gadge Nagar Police Station, Amravati City for the offence punishable under Section 498-A read with Section 34 of the Indian Penal Code.

It has been argued that after one year from separation report has been lodged to pressure the husband. It is submitted that in retaliation of husband's action of filing compliant to the Women Cell, existing false report has been lodged.

Issue notice to the non-applicants, returnable on 13.03.2024. Learned Addl.P.P. waives notice on behalf of the State.

In the meantime, investigation may go on but charge-sheet shall not be filed without obtaining leave of this Court.
