This is an application seeking to quash FIR in Crime No.1247/2023, registered with Police Station Gadge Nagar, District - Amravati City, for the offence punishable under Section 23 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012.

Precisely, it is a prosecution case that accidentally, an applicant who claims to be a member of Mahila Mukti Morcha came to know about the commission of an offence under the Prity
2 / 2 910.apl79.2024 provisions of the POCSO Act. The applicants have approached to the victim of crime made her to disclose the things, video-graph, entire narration and then, uploaded it on social media and thus, committed an offence punishable under Section 23 of the POCSO Act.

It is applicants' contention that there is a considerable delay in lodgement of report. According to applicants, they have made a complaint against Police Officer, hence, out of vengeance, the police managed to get register false FIR.

Issue notice to the respondents, returnable after two weeks.
