This is an application seeking to quash charge-sheet (R.C.C. No.1370/2019) arising out of the First Information Report in Crime No.0008/2018 registered with Police Station, Bajaj Nagar, Nagpur for the offence punishable under Section 498A read with Section 34 of the Indian Penal Code on account of settlement.

Feeling matrimonial harassment, the informant - wife has lodged report. The parties have amicably settled the dispute. On last date, the informant lady has appeared and filed reply-cum-affidavit stating about her no objection. As per settlement, decree of divorce has been obtained and settlement amount has already been paid to the informant - wife. 4.
Considering the settlement and the domestic nature of dispute, we find no difficulty in quashing the proceedings. 5.
In view of above, the application is allowed. We hereby quash and set aside the charge-sheet (R.C.C. No.1370/2019) arising out of the First Information Report in Crime No.0008/2018 registered with the Police Station, Bajaj Nagar, Nagpur for the offence punishable under Section 498A read with Section 34 of the Indian Penal Code.
