This is an application seeking to quash the Charge-sheet arising out of crime bearing First Information Report No.230 of 2022 registered with the Korpana Police Station, District Chandrapur for the offence punishable under Sections 188, 272, 273, 328 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 59 of the Food Safety and Standard Act, 2006 (the Act).

It is the applicant's contention that the Police have no authority to register and investigate the crime under the Act.

Issue notice to the non-applicants for final disposal, returnable on 30.04.2024. Learned Addl.P.P. waives notice on behalf of the State.
