This is an application seeking to quash chargesheet arising out of First Information Report vide Crime No.56/2022 registered with Police Station Kanhan, District Nagpur for the offence punishable under Sections 354, 354A, 354D, 294, 506, 509, 341 of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 3(1)(r), 3(1)(w), 3(1)(w)(i) and 3(1)(w)(ii), 3(2)(va) of the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989.

It is the contention of the applicant that the police paper does not disclose the essentials to attract the provisions of the S.C. and S.T. Act, 1989. It is submitted that there is a considerable delay in filing First Information Report.

Issue notice to the non-applicants, returnable after six weeks.
