This is an application seeking to quash First Information Report vide Crime No. 146/2024 registered with Police Station Umarkhed, Dist. Yavatmal for the offence punishable under Sections 498-A, 323, 504, 506 read with Section 34 of the Indian Penal Code. 3.

The applicants are mother-in-law and brother-inlaw of informant lady. It is argued that husband has filed divorce petition in the year 2018 which is still pending. According to the applicants, only to pressurize the husband in the said proceeding, after a gap of five years, existing report has been lodged.

Issue notice to the non-applicants returnable after six weeks. The learned APP waives service of notice to non-applicant No.1.

In the meantime, investigation may go on, but charge-sheet shall not be filed without obtaining leave of this Court.
