This is an application seeking to quash the First Information Report No.159 of 2024 registered with the Shegaon Rural Police Station, District Buldhana for the offence punishable under Sections 143, 353, 332, 379, 506 of the Indian Penal Code.

It is the applicant's contention that the provisions of Section 353 of the IPC would not attract against him since there are no allegation of assault or use of criminal course to the public servant. It is argued that the allegations is only about the applicant fleeing from the spot with a vehicle.

Issue notice to the non-applicants, returnable after six weeks. Learned Addl.P.P. waives notice on behalf of the State.
