This is an application seeking to quash the First Information Report No. 408 of 2024 registered with the Digras Police Station, District Yavatmal for the offence punishable under Sections 506, 504, 498-A, 323 read with Section 34 of the Indian Penal Code.

The applicants are the relatives of the husband of the informant. It is submitted that on the basis of vague and general allegations, entire family has been implicated. There is inordinate delay in lodgment of the FIR.

Issue notice to the non-applicants, returnable after six weeks. Learned Addl.P.P. waives notice on behalf of the State.

In the meantime, investigation may go on but charge-sheet shall not be filed without obtaining leave of this Court.
