This is an application seeking to quash chargesheet (R.C.C.No.156/2023) arising out of First Information Report vide Crime No.75/2024 registered with Police Station Wani, District Yavatmal for the offence punishable under Sections 188, 272, 273, 328 read with Section 34 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 and Sections 26(2), 27, 30(2)(a) and 59 of the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006.

On tip off, a huge quantity of contraband has been seized from accused No.1 Sagar. During the course of investigation, co-accused has disclosed that he has procured the banned material from applicant.

It is argued that merely on the basis of statement of co-accused, the applicant has been implicated. It is argued that there is no other material indicating the specific role of the applicant.

Issue notice to the non-applicants, returnable after four weeks.
