This Appeal is filed through Advocate Nilesh Tank. The Bail Application is pending. In the meantime, the Applicant sent a letter through jail dated 11.3.2024 expressing his desire to withdraw the Appeal. It is mentioned in that Application that the sentence imposed on him by the Deshmane(PS)

On 9.7.2024, I had asked the Superintendent of Prison to file a report after interviewing the Applicant as to whether the Applicant really wants to withdraw the Appeal. A report is sent by the Superintendent of Prison annexing another letter dated 26.7.2024 repeating that prayer. However, learned APP pointed out that as of today around more than three years are still left.

It appears that the Applicant is under some misconception. The Advocate appointed by him is not appearing. Therefore, the Legal Services Authority of this Court is requested to appoint a suitable Advocate from their Panel so that he can have communication with the Applicant. The office shall hand over all the necessary papers to the appointed Advocate in this matters.
