In continuation of the order dated 10.06.2024 it is informed that, the candidate was permitted to appear for the examination and under the directions of this Court, the entire process was smoothly worked-out.

In order to consider the need of a policy to be framed so that a prisoner/detenu is permitted to take up the examination, and particularly we are at present concerned with an LLB examination, the learned counsel for the applicant state that she would implead the Bar Council of India
6/6 3 IA.1874.2024.odt as well as the Bar Council of Maharashtra and Goa, as respondent- authorities and serve the notices upon them to examine the viability of any policy being framed for appearance of the prisoners in the LLB examination, in the wake of the present curriculum being in operation. As per the request made, let the necessary amendment be effective within a period of one week from today and the notice be served upon the added respondents, indicating the returnable date to be 01.08.2024.
