The two Applications listed on Board seek restoration of Cri.Writ Petitions, which were dismissed for non-prosecution on 22/04/2024.

Heard the learned counsel for the Applicant and on perusal of the Applications, and in particular, paragraphs 6 and 7 thereof, which have offered justification for not attending the proceedings and since, we find that the justification is bonafide, by setting aside the order dated 22/04/2024, Writ Petition No.2280 of 2008 and Writ Petition No.1463 of 2009 are restored to their file.

However, when we expressed that some cost must be borne for this act of dereliction, the learned counsel for the Applicant, on his own, state that he shall deposit a sum of Rs.5,000/- in each of the Application with Kirtikar Law Library, within four weeks from today.

Let the compliance be ensured, as undertaken. 3.
