The Applicant was convicted U/s.354-A and 354 of the I.P.C. and under section 12 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (hereinafer referred to as 'POCSO Act'). The major sentence imposed on him was for one year. The applicant was on bail during trial. Even after the conviction on 08.05.2024 passed by the Special Judge under POCSO Act, Pune, in Spl.POCSO S.C.No.571 of 2017, he was granted bail for a limited period U/s.389 of the Cr.p.c. The sentence is only for one year. 2.

13-ia-2423-24 Respondent No.2 with continuation of bail granted to him by the trial Court.

Hence, the following order:

O R D E R

i) Issue Notice to the Respondent No.2, returnable on 31.07.2024.

ii) The I.O. shall inform the Respondent No.2 about the next date of listing and seek her response whether she wants to engage a legal aid counsel, and shall make a statement to that effect before the Court on the next date.

iii) The order passed by the trial Judge granting bail to the applicant U/s.389 of the Cr.p.c. shall continue till the next date.

iv) Stand over to 31.07.2024.
