Present Bail Application is filed on receipt of a letter received through Jail. Applicant was in custody from 12.05.2018 i.e. for more than 6 years. It is stated that charge has been framed and only 3 out of probable 23 witnesses have been examined by the prosecution till date. That apart Applicant also states that due to his poor financial condition he is unable to even appoint a lawyer.

Applicant is indicted in C.R. No.180 of 2018 which is presently heard by the 17th Court, Sessions Court at Mumbai. An Application bearing Interim Application No.3006 of 2024 is filed stating that due to his poor condition he may be provided legal aid. 4.
In this regard Ms. Ekta Patil, learned Advocate and Counsel practicing in this Court is appointed to represent and espouse the cause of Applicant through the Legal Aid. The Legal Aid department is directed to give her appointment letter to that effect. 5.
Registry is directed to provide copy of the present Application to appointed Advocate Ms. Patil within a period of one week from today.

The appointed Advocate on behalf of Applicant is directed to peruse the papers and to be ready to address the Court on the next adjourned date.

In view of the above directions, Interim Application No.3066 of 2024 stands disposed.
