The Applicant was convicted by the learned Judge under the POCSO Act, Greater Mumbai in POCSO Special Case No.316/2023 vide her judgment and order dated 25.6.2024. The Applicant was convicted for commission of the offence punishable under Section 11 read with Section 12 of the Protection of Children From Sexual Offences Act, 2012 (for short, 'POCSO Act') and under Section 509 of IPC. The major sentence imposed on the Deshmane(PS)

9-I-IA-3376-24.odt Applicant was imprisonment for two years. The Applicant was in custody for about twenty days during the investigation. He was on bail during the trial. Even after his conviction, he was granted bail for a temporary period under Section 389 of Cr.P.C..

Hence, the following order:

O R D E R

(i) Issue notice to the Respondent No.2, returnable on 16.10.2024.

(ii) The investigating officer shall inform the Respondent No.2 about the next date of listing and make a statement to that effect before the Court on the next occasion.

(iii) The interim bail granted by the trial Court under Section 389 of Cr.P.C. is extended till 16.10.2024. (iv) Stand over to 16.10.2024.
