DATE : 13th SEPTEMBER, 2024.

P. C. :

1.

This application has been circulated urgently today before this Bench as the assigned Bench (Coram : Anil S. Kilor, J.) is not available. 2.

By this application, the applicant is seeking continuation of interim order dated 03.09.2024 passed in the Bail Application. 3.

By the said order, this Court had granted interim bail for a limited period to the applicant, in the light of the death of his mother on 03.09.2024. While granting such relief, this Court imposed specific conditions in paragraph No.6 of the order. It was specifically directed that the applicant shall surrender before the Jail Authority on 18.09.2024. Shrikant Malani

It is pleaded in the application that certain further rituals need to be performed, for which purpose the interim order needs to be extended. 5.

It would be appropriate that such a prayer is made before the regular Bench. But, since the next working day is 18.09.2024, the present application may be rendered infructuous and only on that ground interim order dated 03.09.2024 is extended till 20.09.2024, meaning thereby that unless further orders are passed by the regular Bench, the applicant will have to surrender before the Jail Authority on 20.09.2024. 6.

At this stage, learned APP submits that, in any case, the applicant may be directed to deposit his passport with the Investigating Officer. 7.

In view of the above, interim order dated 03.09.2024 is extended till 20.09.2024. In the meanwhile, apart from abiding by the conditions specified by this Court in paragraph No.6 of the order dated 03.09.2024, the applicant shall surrender his passport with the Investigating Officer and he shall attend the Police Station on 19.09.2024. 8.

Liberty to mention before the regular Bench.
