The passport of the Applicant is due to expire on 21 March, 2025. He has filed the present Application seeking to take steps for renewal of the said passport in advance. 2.

The limited relief is only for renewal of the passport. Hence issue notice to Respondents, made returnable on 9 December, 2024. Ms. Tidke, learned APP waives service on behalf of Respondent No.1. She would take appropriate instructions from D.N. Nagar Police Station and accordingly apprise the Court on the next adjourned date as to whether they have any objection in allowing the application. Prima facie, I see no reason as to why the present application seeking renewal of the passport which is due to expire on 21 March, 2025

Respondent No.2 shall be served with a copy of this order and application by the Advocate for the Applicant within a period of one week from today. Any objection, to be placed by Respondent No.2 shall be informed to the Court on the next adjourned date. The Advocate for Respondent No.2 is directed to remain present in Court or in his absence, any authorized representative of Respondent No.2 shall remain present to apprise the Court about any objection to the application.
