Heard Ms. Mansukhani, learned Advocate for Applicant and Ms. Tidke, learned APP for Respondent - State of Maharashtra. 2.

On 02.12.2024, the following order was passed:- "1.

The passport of the Applicant is due to expire on 21 March, 2025. He has filed the present Application seeking to take steps for renewal of the said passport in advance. 2.

The limited relief is only for renewal of the passport. Hence issue notice to Respondents, made returnable on 9 December, 2024. Ms. Tidke, learned APP waives service on behalf of Respondent No.1. She would take appropriate instructions from D.N. Nagar Police Station and accordingly apprise the Court on the next adjourned date as to whether they have any objection in allowing the application. Prima facie, I see no reason as to why the present application seeking renewal of the passport which is due to expire on 21 March, 2025 cannot be granted.

Respondent No.2 shall be served with a copy of this order and application by the Advocate for the Applicant within a period of one week from today. Any objection, to be placed

9.IA.4919.2024+.doc by Respondent No.2 shall be informed to the Court on the next adjourned date. The Advocate for Respondent No.2 is directed to remain present in Court or in his absence, any authorized representative of Respondent No.2 shall remain present to apprise the Court about any objection to the application. 4.

List the Application on board on 9 December, 2024, 'First on Board'."

In compliance of the order dated 02.12.2024, Ms. Tidke would inform the Court that Officer - Mr. Vaibhav Khade is present in Court. He has filed report dated 09.12.2024. The report states that there is no objection if the Applicant is allowed to apply for renewal of his renew passport. The said report is taken on record and marked 'X' for identification.

In view of the above, Application stands allowed in terms of prayer clause (a) which reads thus:- "a.

This Hon'ble Court be pleased to direct the Respondent No. 2 to renew the Passport bearing no. Z7480575 of the Applicant for a period of ten years."
