In view of the urgency mentioned on the last date, today matter is fixed. Learned Advocate Ms. Hingmire made oral submission, according to her, direction is required for renewal of the passport. When the prayer is perused, it talks about issuance of the passport as it has to be issued for the first time. When asked about annexure, she invited my attention to the copy of the correspondence by Regional Digitally signed by SEEMA KSHITIJ YELKAR Date:

901 IA 5438 of 2024.doc Passport office, Mumbai dated 19.04.2024 addressed to the present Applicant. She could not point out from the said letter that there is prayer for renewal of the passport. When asked about copy of the passport, she tried to give justification that its production is not expected. More than once she referred to this word. I failed to understand, how learned Advocate can use this word. The reason is orally she said about renewal of the passport, whereas in the application, there is a prayer for issuance of the passport for the first time. If such difference is there, the Court is bound to ask for annexing the documents.

Let the Applicant take necessary steps either by way of amendment or by annexing the documents.

Matter be kept on 23rd June 2025, high on board. 4.

The time of the Court is taken that is why adjournment is granted subject to cost of Rs. 3,000/-. The oral prayer for amending the prayer clause thereby adding the word renewal is allowed. Amendment be carried out forthwith.
