I had, by an order dated 12 th November, 2024 after noting the failure of the Respondent to appear, allowed the application filed under Section 11 of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act 1996 by appointing an Arbitrator, who is a practicing Counsel of this Court.

Ms. Musale, Learned Counsel for the Petitioner has today submitted that since the jurisdiction clause provides that the Court of law of Pune shall have jurisdiction to decide the matter as also the fact that all parties are from Pune, she has requested an Arbitrator who is based in Pune be appointed so as to save costs and facilitate the said arbitration.
