This is a Petition under Section 29A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act 1996 to extend the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal. SHEPHALI SANJAY MORMARE 2.
Learned Counsel appearing on behalf of the Petitioner submits SHEPHALI SANJAY MORMARE Date: 2024.07.16 09:41:51 +0530 that the Respondent has been served and undertakes to file an Affidavit of Service proving service upon Respondent.

He then invites my attention to page 46 of the Application and points out that the Respondent has consented to this extension. He further points out that the arbitral proceedings are at the stage of final arguments and, therefore, I am satisfied that substantial progress has been made in the arbitration and the interest of justice would require an extension of time to complete the arbitral proceedings.

In view thereof, I deem it fit to allow the present application in terms of prayer clause (a), which reads as under: "(a) this Hon'ble Court be pleased to further extend the mandate of the Sole arbitrator Ms. Seema Sarnaik by 6 months from 28th June 2024 in order to complete the arbitration proceedings with respect to the disputes and differences between the Applicant and the Respondent pertaining to and arising out of the said Global Contract having reference number PS/CON/MP-FP/CHUGOKUI17 dated 1st February 2018."

It is made clear that the time shall commence from the date on which a copy of this order is uploaded.

The Application is accordingly disposed of.
