CORAM: SOMASEKHAR SUNDARESAN, J.

Date : January 8, 2025 PC :

1.

This is a Petition filed under Section 29-A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 ("the Act") seeking extension of mandate of the arbitrator. The mandate of the arbitrator had expired on May 22, 2024. However, this Petition had been filed only on October 22, 2024. 2.

Today, when the matter is called out, Learned Counsel for the parties submit that some settlement proposals were exchanged between the parties during the pendency of this matter which led to the delay. In any case, the parties submit that the only stage remaining in the arbitration proceedings is the passing over the final award. January 8, 2025 Shraddha
