Heard learned counsel for the Respondent-Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (Corporation). Learned counsel has placed on record a copy of the communication dated 20.06.2025 of the Dean. In deference to what was suggested by this Court, we appreciate the efforts of learned counsel for the respondent-Corporation. He persuaded the Corporation in taking a stand which is in conformity with the salutary provisions of the Maternity Benefit Act, 1961. Learned counsel submits that in principle, the Corporation has agreed to grant to the petitioner the benefits to which she is entitled to under the Maternity Benefit Act, 1961. To process the Amk 1/2
3-wp 483-25.doc payment, learned counsel for the respondent-Corporation seeks some time within which such payment will be made.

We find this approach of the respondent-Corporation to be appropriate and hence, list the matter after two weeks. 3.
