By this Petition, the Petitioner essentially seeks a direction to the Respondent No.2 to adjudicate the Petitioner's Stamp Duty Application filed for determining the stamp duty of the Agreement dated 24th August 2011 and Grant Letter dated 1st March 2017. 2.
Learned Additional Government Pleader has filed an Affidavit opposing the said relief sought for by the Petitioner. Learned AGP submits that since certain objections were raised by the Authority which were not cured by the Petitioner, his Application has not been decided.

At this stage, learned counsel for the Petitioner states that no stamp duty is payable and therefore, the Petitioner has filed an Application requesting the Authority to determine whether the stamp duty is liable to be paid by the Petitioner or not. 4.
Considering the aforesaid and in view of the facts of the case, we deem it appropriate to direct the Respondent No.2 to decide the Petitioner's Application on its own merits in accordance with law within six weeks from today.

The Petition is disposed off accordingly.

Copy of this order to be placed before the Authority at the earliest by the learned counsel for the Petitioner. 7.
