This matter has been partly argued on an earlier occasion. Today, when the matter is called out, Ms. Chawan, the learned Senior Counsel appearing on behalf of the 2nd Respondent (MSEDCL), raised a preliminary objection that the present Writ Petition ought to have been filed not before the Principal Seat of the Bombay High Court but before the Nagpur Bench. This is because the Petitioners in effect challenge the denial of an electricity connection which was ordered by the office of the APRIL 24, 2026 Darshan Patil

In the light of this objection, and considering that the Petitioner seeks urgent reliefs in the above matter, Mr. Cama, the learned Counsel appearing on behalf of the Petitioners, submitted that the papers and proceedings of this Writ Petition be transferred to the Nagpur Bench so that the Petitioner can then approach the said Bench for urgent relief. 3.

In view of the aforesaid facts and circumstances, we direct the Registrar/Prothonotary and Senior Master of this Court to transfer these proceedings to the Nagpur Bench of this High Court within a period of 2 weeks from today.

It is clarified that we have not gone into the merits of the matter, which shall be decided by the Nagpur Bench after hearing all parties. 5.
