Pursuant to our order dated 16 August 2024, an affidavit-in-reply has been filed by respondent Nos.1 to 4 stating therein inter alia that date of birth of the petitioner is 28 May 1990, however, date of birth of other tenderer, Mr. Abhinav Shobhit, is 10 October 1996. The affidavit filed by respondent Nos.1 to 4 is taken on record.

At this juncture, learned counsel representing the petitioner seeks liberty to amend the petition challenging Clause 7.2.1(b) of the guideline for selection of service

Having regard to the nature of the amendment sought, the prayer is allowed, and the petitioner is permitted to incorporate the amendment as per draft amendment. 4.

Let the amendment be incorporated by the learned counsel for the petitioner during course of the day. Reverification is dispensed with. 5.

Let an amended copy of the writ petition be provided to the learned counsel for the respondents within a week from today. The respondents shall file their counter-affidavit within a period of four weeks from today. Two weeks' time thereafter shall be available to the petitioner to file rejoinder-affidavit. 6.

Stand over to 3 October 2024.
