Heard Mr. Sridharan, learned counsel for the Petitioner and Ms. Maya Majumdar, through V.C. for the Respondents.

Ms. Maya Majumdar states that she has not received the copy of the Petition and consequently, she is also not able to obtain instructions from the Respondents. However, now, copy is served and Ms. Majumdar request for two weeks to respond, if necessary by filing and serving reply. Reply if any, should be filed and served by 10 October 2025. 3.

List the matter on 14 October 2025 for further consideration.

Mr. Sridharan submits that in terms of Section 73(4) (b) of the Finance Act, 1994, the time limit for completing the adjudication is one year. He points out that in this case, adjudication has been completed after 10 years and consequently, the impugned order is ex-facie without jurisdiction.
