Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned AGP representing the respondent no.1-State. 2.

This petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India essentially challenges an order dated 21st October, 2024 passed by the Assistant Registrar, Co-operative Societies (Eastern & Western Suburbs), SRA, Mumbai.

The impugned order passed by the Assistant Registrar is, admittedly, appealable under Section 152 of the Maharashtra Co-operative Societies Act, 1960 (hereinafter referred to as "the Act").

Accordingly, we are not inclined to entertain this writ petition, which is hereby disposed of finally with the liberty to

402-WP-5454-2024 the petitioners to approach the Appellate Authority by invoking Section 152 read with Section 153 of the Act. If any such appeal is preferred, the same shall be considered and decided by the Appellate Authority in accordance with law with expedition.
