CORAM : BHARATI DANGRE & MANJUSHA DESHPANDE, JJ DATED : 23rd JANUARY, 2026 P.C:- Contempt Petition is filed alleging disobedience of the order dated 9/07/2024, when the Writ Petition was disposed of by directing the Home Department of the State Government to take a decision on the representation dated 30/8/2022.

According to the Mr.Arshad Shaikh, learned Senior Advocate, the decision communicated to the petitioner on 14/8/2024 by the Home Department, informing that it is the Ashish

2/2 14 CONPW 8-25.doc Housing Department which would be the concern department to take cognizance of his grievance/representation, amounts to disobedience of the order passed by this Court, as according to him, when he preferred a representation, it was addressed to the Home Department as well as the Housing Department.

Though we do not find any fault in the communication addressed to the petitioner, we deem it appropriate to direct the learned senior counsel to serve a copy of the petition upon the office of the Government Pleader, so that on an appearance being marked, we can issue appropriate directions, as ultimately, the concern of the petitioner is consideration of his request for getting an ownership premises in BDD chawl.
