The Petitioner has raised the grievance that despite having succeeded before the Central Administrative Tribunal on 26.03.2004 in the matter of grant of promotion on a notional basis, which order was confirmed in Writ Petition No. 103 of 2005 on 24.04.2018 and the Special Leave Petition preferred by the Union of India was dismissed on 16.02.2024, the order passed by the Central Administrative Tribunal has not been implemented.

The learned counsel for Respondent No.1 has tendered Affidavit-in-Reply, wherein it is stated that initially the Department intended to file Review Application seeking review of order dated 16.02.2024. However, as an opinion was received against doing so, the Sneha Chavan 1/2

It is further stated that on 15.07.2024, a direction has been issued by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting to implement the order passed by the Central Administrative Tribunal without treating it as precedent. The learned counsel further submits that on 16.12.2024 further steps have been taken in that regard.
