Rule 986.

Perused e-filed Affidavit in support of the present Chamber Order filed by Mr. Ketan Palan, Director - Tax, Power of Attorney holder of Appellant Company. It is contended therein that the Ld. Advocate for the Appellant was not aware about the office objections raised in the present Appeal as the communication to that effect remained unnoticed. It is further stated that two similar Central Excise Appeals, bearing Nos. 30 of 2023 and 31 of 2023, were duly numbered without office objections. Hence, Ld. Advocate was under bonafide belief that the present Appeal would also get numbered without any office objections. Through oversight, Ld. Advocate failed to check the Cause List and as a result, failed to attend the present Appeal before this Authority on 01.03.2024.

E-filed Affidavit of Service dated 12.06.2024 proving service of present Chamber Order upon Respondents is already on record. Despite service, none appeared for Respondents.

Since there is no resistance to the present Chamber Order, for the reasons mentioned in e-filed .... 2
