6.CHOL/581/2024 In TP/3277/2024 Mr. Navid Memon, Advocate for the Applicant / Petitioner. P. C. : 1. The present Chamber Order is taken out to serve the Citation upon Ms. Meena R. Gurnani (Daughter of the deceased) by way of substituted service as per the Schedule annexed to the Chamber Order.

Perused Schedule. The Petitioner is seeking permission to publish the Citation in two newspapers viz. "Free Press Journal" in English Language and in "Shree Guru Singh Sabha Patrika" in vernacular language i.e. Punjabi.

Perused the Affidavit dated 10th October, 2024 annexed to Chamber Order. It is stated in the said Affidavit that the whereabouts of Ms. Meena R. Gurnani (Daughter of the deceased) is not known to the Applicant as she is residing separately from the last 18 years. It is further stated that the Applicant / Petitioner tried to search the whereabouts of the said daughter of the deceased from her neighbours, family, friends and relatives but despite due and diligent search the Applicant / Petitioner could not find her whereabouts. The Applicant therefore requested to permit her to publish the Citation upon Ms. Meena R. Gurnani (Daughter of the deceased) by way of substituted service by publishing in two newspapers viz. "Free Press Journal" in English ..2/-

Language and in "Shree Guru Singh Sabha Patrika" in vernacular language i.e. Punjabi.

Perused Para-8 of the Petition, it is mentioned and confirmed that the averment made in the Affidavit in respect of the addresses not known to the Petitioner.

Heard. The Ld. Advocate for the Applicant submits that the whereabouts of Ms. Meena R. Gurnani (Daughter of the deceased) is not known to the Applicant as she is residing separately from the last 18 years. He therefore submits that the Applicant / Petitioner tried to search the whereabouts of the said daughter of the deceased from her neighbours, family, friends and relatives but despite due and diligent search the Applicant / Petitioner could not find her whereabouts. He therefore submits that the Applicant is not aware of the whereabouts of the said Ms. Meena R. Gurnani (Daughter of the deceased). He further submits that the Applicant / Petitioner be permitted to publish the Citation in two newspapers viz. (1) "Free Press Journal" in English and (2) "Shree Guru Singh Sabha Patrika" in Punjabi language. He therefore prays that the Chamber Order be allowed.

For the reasons stated in Affidavit dated 10th October, 2024 annexed to the Chamber order and averment made in Para-8 of the Petition, the Chamber Order is allowed. The Applicant is directed to publish the Citation in two newspapers viz. (1) "Free Press Journal" in English and (2) "Shree Guru Singh Sabha Patrika" in Punjabi language, within four weeks from the date of ..3/-

7. Applicant to file Affidavit annexing therewith the newspapers within two weeks once, the publication is done.
