The physical copy of the affidavit-in-reply filed by the Respondent No.4 is taken on record. We have been informed that the said affidavit-in-reply has already been e-filed. 2.

This Petition has been filed alleging contempt of order of the Court dated 21st December, 2023 passed in Public Interest Litigation No.60 of 2023, whereby the Petitioners were required to make a representation/complaint in respect of removal of certain encroachment by hawkers on S. P. Road. Whereupon, the authorities of the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai were directed to take steps for removal of unauthorized BGP.

hawkers and other encroachments from the pavements in the area as described in the Public Interest Litigation Petition. It has been informed that the encroachment by hawkers is the subject matter of Suo-moto Public Interest Litigation No.1 of 2023 and accordingly, to avoid plurality of orders, it will be appropriate, if this Contempt Petition is also heard by the bench hearing the aforesaid Suo-moto Public Interest Litigation No.1 of 2023.

Accordingly, let this Contempt Petition be tagged with Suo-moto Public Interest Litigation No.1 of 2023 and be placed before the bench concerned.
