Commercial Arbitration Petition No. 23 of 2024 had been listed yesterday and it was noted that this Petition under Section 29-A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 ("the Act") had been overtaken by sheer efflux of time. A new Application being Commercial Arbitration Petition No. 53 of 2025 (in connection with the disputes relating to METRO4), and Commercial Arbitration Petition No. 54 of 2025, (in connection with January 22, 2025 Shraddha

CARBP-53-2025-54-2025-metro.doc the disputes under METRO-5), have been filed in the matter. It is also noted in the order passed by me yesterday, that a procedural order dated March 30, 2022, passed by the arbitral tribunal, had stated that disputes relating to "METRO-4" and "METRO-5" would be taken up by the tribunal, after the passing of the award in "METRO-1".

It is common ground that the award under METRO-1 has been passed. The matter was kept for today just to enable the parties to apprise the Court as to the period for which they would want the mandate extended. 4.

Today, when the matter is called out, the parties jointly submit that an extension for a period of one year would be in order. Consequently, these Petitions, namely, Commercial Arbitration Petition No. 23 of 2024, Commercial Arbitration Petition No. 53 of 2025 and Commercial Arbitration Petition No. 54 of 2025, are hereby finally disposed of, extending the mandate of the arbitral tribunal, by a period of one year, i.e., until January 21, 2026.
