The matter was mentioned in the morning session, and circulation was sought. Accordingly, the matter was taken up on the production board. 2.

Learned counsel for the Petitioner has today tendered an order dated 7 th April, 2026, whereby this Court has appointed a sole Arbitrator in the matter. It Areeb

2/2 501 TO 503-CARBP-294-2024.DOC is submitted that although the Respondent has been duly served, none has appeared on his behalf. In view thereof, a request is made to permit the Petitioner to convert the present Petitions, filed under Section 9 of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, into Applications under Section 17 of the said Act, so as to enable the Petitioner to pursue the same before the learned Arbitrator now appointed.

Having considered the submissions and noting the absence of the Respondent, the present Petitions are permitted to be converted and shall be treated as Applications under Section 17 of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996. The interim orders granted earlier shall continue to operate until appropriate orders are passed in the said Applications under Section 17 of the Act.
