This is a Petition under Section 29-A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 ("the Act") seeking extension of mandate of the arbitral tribunal.

Today, when the matter is called out, Learned Counsel for the parties jointly request that the mandate be extended by a period of 12 months, and submit that they would cooperate with the arbitral tribunal to ensure that the proceedings are completed and final Award is passed within such extended period.

The mandate of the arbitral tribunal, had expired on August 30, 2024, and the Application under Section 29-A has been filed on September 11, 2024.

In view of the statement jointly made by the parties, by consent, the mandate stands extended for a period of 12 months from today. 5.

It is hoped that the arbitration proceedings shall be conducted by the parties in due dispatch, with full cooperation to the arbitral tribunal, and the final Award being passed as well within the extension of time granted by this order.

All actions required to be taken pursuant to this order shall be taken upon receipt of a downloaded copy as available on this Court's website.
