This is a Petition filed under Section 9 of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996.

Learned Counsel for the Petitioner seeks an urgent ad-interim ex-parte relief restraining the Respondent from sending disparaging emails and making disparaging comments about the Petitioner in the public domain, and privately to others in the trade and industry. It would be important to see what the Respondent has to say in the matter, to consider if any relief should be granted.

Prima facie, the emails sent by the Respondent to a wide range of people that are forming part of the record, indeed allege that the material supplied are sub-standard and that they are of poor quality and not commensurate with the public standing of the promoter of the Petitioner. 4.

Be that is it may, to enable the Respondent have a chance to present its point of view, stand over to January 27, 2025. 5.
