This is a Petition under Section 29-A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 ("the Act").

Learned Counsel for the Petitioner submits that the mandate of the arbitral tribunal had expired on October 23, 2024, and the arbitration proceedings are being conducted ex parte. He further submits that the hearing in the proceedings has concluded and only the passing of the Arbitral Award is left.

In these circumstances, it would be appropriate to extend the mandate of the arbitral tribunal by a period of three months from today i.e. until April 14, 2025.

It is hoped that the Arbitral Award shall be passed well within the extended deadline.

The Petition is finally disposed of in the aforesaid terms. 6.

All actions required to be taken pursuant to this order shall be taken upon receipt of a downloaded copy as available on this Court's website.
