The Applicant was granted Letters of Administration in respect of properties and credits of one Chandan Ram Marathe (deceased) vide an order dated 1 st June, 2022. Learned Counsel for the Applicant submits that on account of old age and not being familiar with the procedure in law, the Petitioner could not administered the estate in the prescribed time. It is thus an extension of time is sought for by the present Application.

Having heard Learned Counsel and having satisfied myself that sufficient cause has been shown to grant the extension as also the interest of justice require the same to be allowed, I am inclined to allow the Interim Application in terms of prayer clause (a) which reads thus: Shubham 1/2

This Hon'ble Court be pleased to grant extension of time for a period of one year in view of the provisions of Section 317 (1) of the Indian Succession Act, 1925 and under O.S. Rules 370 and 371, for enabling her to duly register the said Transfer Deed as and by of administration of the estate of the deceased and carry out the necessary formalities at various concerned authorities." 3.

It is made clear that the extended period of one year shall commence from the date on which a copy of this order is uploaded. 4.
