The Application (undated) tendered by the Petitioner to Respondent No.1, Tahasildar/Agriculture Lands Tribunal Daund, Taluka Daund, District Pune, which is received by the said Authority on 25th July, 2025, is said to be filed under Section 70-b and Section 40 of the Bombay Tenancy & Agricultural Lands Act, 1948. It is prayed that the said Authority be directed to decide the said Application under the concerned provisions of law, expeditiously.

The learned AGP representing the State submits that the Application tendered by the Petitioner is in relation to an order passed on 25th January, 1967 in a proceeding no.32G/Dhond/109/ 1966, before the Agricultural Lands Tribunal, Dhond, Taluka Dhond, District Poona.

Considering the above, we have no reason to entertain this Petition. We would however observe that Respondent No.1 may deal with the pending Application filed under Section 70-b and Section 40 of the Bombay Tenancy & Agricultural Lands Act, 1948, by following the due procedure and on its own merits, within a period of 120 days from today.

In view of the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed off.

Needless to state, all contentions of the stakeholders are kept open and a reasonable opportunity of hearing shall be granted to each of them.
