Caste claim of the petitioner is stated to have been pending since 2013. The petitioner is in service and has received show-cause notice issued by his employer on 01.01.2025 calling upon the petitioner to submit caste validity certificate, failing which the service of the petitioner will be brought to an end.

Considering the same, since this court has already protected the service of the petitioner by an order dated 14.01.2025, we direct respondent/Caste Scrutiny Committee to decide the caste claim of the petitioner within a period of six months from today.

Needless to state that the interim relief granted by this Court would continue till the decision of the caste claim of petitioner. We make it clear that protection granted by this Court will continue to operate only till caste claim of the petitioner is decided.
