Though the petitioners are anxious to get their proposals seeking validation of the tribe certificates decided, the proposals have been submitted as late as in the month of December 2024. Even the statute prescribes time limit of six months period to the committee to decide such proposals.

Considering the fact that this court has been called upon to issue a writ of mandamus, in our considered view, that is not permissible when the statute prescribes time limit for deciding the proposals, which is still to expire.
