The petitioners are seeking regularization of their encroachment, which cannot be directed by way of writ of mandamus in the light of Jagpal Singh and others Vs. State of Punjab and others, (2011) 11 SCC 396 and subsequent Government Resolution dated 08.11.1991.

In fact, already by the order dated 22.01.2024, passed in WP No. 715 of 2024, petitioner's representation was directed to be considered in accordance with law.

There cannot be repetitive orders in respect of the same cause.

The Writ Petitions are disposed of with liberty to the petitioners to resort to the appropriate remedy as is available to them in law.
