In this petition, the petitioner, which is a co-operative society registered under the provisions of the Maharashtra Cooperative Societies Act, 1960 (hereinafter referred to as "the Act of 1960") seeks a direction to the Division Joint Registrar to decide the revision application preferred by the petitioner under section 154 of the Act of 1960.

The learned Additional Government Pleader, on instructions, submits that in view of the Circular dated 8th October 2022, the Joint Registrar is the competent authority to decide the revision application preferred by the petitioner.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the Divisional Joint Registrar be directed to transmit the revision application pending before him to the Joint Registrar and the Joint Registrar be directed to decide the application for stay as well as the revision application in a time bound manner. 4.

Learned Additional Government Pleader submits that the application for stay and the revision application preferred by the petitioner shall be decided within such time as may be directed by this Court.

In view of the aforesaid submission, the petition is disposed of with a direction to the Divisional Joint Registrar to transmit the proceedings in Revision Application No. 256 of 2024 to the Joint Registrar within a period of one week from today.

The Joint Registrar shall proceed to decide the application for stay preferred by the petitioner after hearing the parties and shall make an endeavour to decide the revision application preferred by the petitioner expeditiously in accordance with law. 7.

With the aforesaid directions, the writ petition is disposed of.
