The petitioners are aggrieved by the order dated 29/08/2024 passed by the Hon'ble Minister for Revenue in proceedings under Section 257 of the Maharashtra Land Revenue Code, 1966. It is the case of the petitioners that despite filing of caveat on 24/06/2024, the stay application was decided on 29/08/2024 without giving any notice to the petitioners. The learned counsel for the petitioners however restricts his prayer to the issuance of a direction to expeditiously decide Revision Application No.3524/3377/Matter No.209/J-5A of 2024 within a specified period.

Considering the fact that the petitioners had filed a caveat 1/2

12-WP-1640-25.doc Rameshwar Dilwale on 24/06/2024 before the State Government and the stay order was passed without due notice to the petitioners, it is directed that Revision Application No.3524/3377/Matter No.209/J-5A of 2024 shall be decided by the respondent no.1 on its own merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks of receiving copy of this order. It is clarified that all contentions on merits are kept open. The writ petition is disposed of in aforesaid terms.
