Preliminary objection has been raised by the learned Counsel appearing for the Respondent Nos. 2 to 5 - Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai ("Corporation") on the ground that the present Petition seeks direction against the Respondent Nos. 2 to 5 - Corporation who have their offices in Mumbai and accordingly is required to be filed on the Original Side of this Court and has been incorrectly filed on the Appellate Side.

The learned Counsel for the Petitioners have accordingly sought for permission to convert the Appellate Side Writ Petition to Original Side Writ Petition.

Accordingly, permission is granted. Necessary amendment shall be carried out by the Petitioners for conversion of the Writ Petition from the Appellate Side to the Original Side within a period of two weeks from today. The Registry shall accept the conversion of the Writ Petition and register the same. 4.

Writ Petition upon conversion shall be placed before this Court on 9th March, 2026.
